Grenton Day in the Polish Pavilion at Expo 2020 in Dubai
The end of 2021 is a particularly important time for Grenton. Last week, which began with the participation in the Polish Arab Forum in Dubai was crowned with a unique event, Grenton Day, organised in the Polish Pavilion at EXPO 2020.
Grenton Day, held on December 9, took place thanks to the support of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) and the Polish Pavilion team at Expo 2020 in Dubai. The main theme of Grenton Day were development trends in the areas of smart home, smart city and smart living supporting the implementation of regional infrastructure strategies, in particular the housing development strategy. The meeting saw discussions on how the Grenton Smart Home System addresses the needs of the local market, including:
- home energy balance management,
- optimisation of water consumption in the household,
- ensuring the comfort of everyday life for the household dwellers,
- household waste management.
The event was also actively attended by Grenton's partners: Al-Alameya Group from Saudi Arabia, Smart Tech for Devices from Kuwait, Chain4Energy from Poland and Skey Network from Estonia, alongside guest experts.
“The beginnings were not easy and the decision to enter the Middle Eastern market at the end of 2018 was not an obvious choice at the time. Participation in the Gitex fair in Dubai in 2018 and the solutions presented at that time drew great interest from potential business partners," says Jacek Gzyl, CEO of Grenton. The company's operations, actively supported by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, gained an increasing momentum and resulted in the signing of the first contract with a distributor from the United Arab Emirates at the PAIH headquarters in Dubai. In the following months, further agreements were signed – with distributors from Saudi Arabia (2019) and Kuwait (2020).
Over three years of Grenton's continuous presence in the Persian Gulf region and the acquired business partners implementing their own projects using smart home solutions paved the way for the crowning of these efforts with the above-mentioned event.
